Congratulations to Kendall Morris, Miss Texas, the 2012 recipient of the Louanne Gamba Instrumental Award.
The Louanne Gamba Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in Louanne's memory to continue her legacy. It is awarded to the Miss America contestant with the highest score, of all instrumentalists, in the talent phase of competition. Louanne was a dedicated 40 year volunteer and leader of the Miss Rhode Island Scholarship Program until her passing on September 23, 2010. Please visit her memorial page here.

(FOX Providence) - Emily Luther, from Woonsocket, won FOX Providence's recent Glee casting call.
Emily explained her recent whirlwind tour.
She
has an impressive background ranging from opening the Miss America
pageant with national anthem, to being accepted to Berkley school of
music. She has previously won talent awards at such events as the Miss
America Teen competition.
Emily told The Rhode Show, “I love
performing; it makes me feel right at home.” She hopes the producers
give her a chance to be on Glee.
Congratulations to Ivy Shen, Top 10 Finalist at Miss America's Outstanding Teen!
Ivy Shen, Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen 2011, was a Top 10 finalist at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen competition held in Orlando, FL on August 20th, 2011. Ivy was a Preliminary Talent winner as well as the recipient of an Instrumental Talent award. She was also the recipient of NOVA Southeastern University's Razor's Edge Leadership Award valued at $40,000. Congratulations, Ivy!
