Caroline Hollingsworth

Miss RI’s Outstanding Teen 2017 Caroline Hollingsworth is a sophomore at East Greenwich High School.  

Caroline's platform is focused on music education and she performed Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen national competition in Orlando in July 2017. A scholar and an athlete, Caroline has served as both the Varsity and JV keeper for the East Greenwich High School women's field hockey team.

In addition to being an accomplished pianist, Caroline has also performed the oboe for the Rhode Island All-State Band, performed in the East Greenwich High School production of Les Misérables and she loves playing Louis Armstrong songs on the ukulele.  Caroline also speaks French.

Caroline intends to vigorously promote the expansion of music education in schools, especially among underprivileged children. She believes that everyone should have the same musical opportunities throughout the state of Rhode Island. In Caroline's words, "Music is universal. It is a beauty that transcends time and space.  Everyone speaks 'music'. Through this language I hope to deliver a message of understanding."
